I am a lampworker, I work on a torch Carlsile (C C) Burner. It runs on a combination of compressed oxygen and propane. This allows me to heat the glass up to 2000 `C. I use tubes and rods made out of Pyrex glass. Also, I fuse the glass with pure silver and gold which colors the glass. Often people confuse Pyrex with soft glass. The difference is that Pyrex glass starts out in sold form whereas, soft glass starts out in liquid form. I am limited in size of my creations, but allowed full creative flow.
